SIX GOLDEN RULES FOR MEN

January 13, 2019 0
SIX GOLDEN RULES FOR MEN
RICHMOND FRIMPONG(HERGENTLEMAN)

1. When you meet a girl, don't think of sex first; don't ask for sex. Even if you are hot in pants, pretend that you are a monk for some time.
.
2.Don't go searching for a virgin, if you are not a virgin yourself. All the girls you have massacred, who will marry them. Besides, there is no record that virgins make better wives or are more faithful in marriage.
.
3. If you are a "modern man," don't look for a "village girl that knows nothing." Soon you will start complaining that she is too local to fit into your circle of enlightened friends. Besides, a village girl may "wise up" and trouble will start in your home.
.
4. Don't look for a girl that is afraid of you: a girl you can always intimidate. Fear is not respect.
.
5. Don't be carried away by a girl's physical features: beauty, height, complexion, shape, breast shape, size and firmness, etc. They matter but they are not critical. In the long run, child-bearing and age affect these features. Besides, when you have married a woman for some years, her physical features stop "turning your head."
At that time, what will attract you to her will be what is inside of her: intelligence, wisdom, self-control, patience, peace, gentleness, etc.

SEE ALSO: Poorer Couples could save their relationship by giving each other the silent treatment - Study
.
6. Don't be interested in a girl because of her wealth or her parents' wealth. Even if she is richer than you or her parents are richer, make it clear from the beginning that you will take care of your marriage yourself or that both of you will take care of your marriage together.

Don't accept your in-laws taking care of your family responsibilities. Let them allow you to build your own home. After all, many of them were poorer than you are now when they got married. If they want you to upgrade to their level, let them support your business, e.g by supplying their goods to you to sell and make your OWN money.

AM I RIGHT?

Gov’t to introduce placement system for Tertiary Institutions

January 12, 2019 2
Gov’t to introduce placement system for Tertiary Institutions

The Ministry of Education is planning to introduce a placement
system for admission into tertiary institutions in Ghana.

This comes after a 9-member committee chaired by Professor Cliff
Tagoe proposed same in the Tertiary Education Policy Document
submitted on November 1, 2018, to the Ministry of Education.
The Committee proposed for a Centralized University admissions
and Placement Service (CAPS) to replace the current stressful and
expensive system of applying to different Universities.
“One proposal currently under contemplation by the Ministry of
Education has also incidentally been proposed by this draft Policy
document.
“It is the Proposal for a Centralized University admissions and
Placement Service (CAPS), which replaces the stressful and rather
expensive system of applying to separate Universities in Ghana
with a Centralized system, where the applicants list their choices of
University on a single platform.

“A Central administrative and technical set up then facilitates the
process of placement,” the Committee said.
The Minister of State in Charge of Tertiary Education Prof Kwesi
Yankah revealed this on Friday in an ongoing stakeholder meeting
in Koforidua, Eastern Regional Capital.
He said exploratory visits have been made to UK and Nigeria by
the Ministry of Education and Vice Chancellors and Registrars to
understudy how the system works in the two countries.
He added that a national committee in centralized admissions for
Universities to be chaired by Prof. Adow Obeng, former Vice
Chancellor of University of Cape Coast currently President of
Presbyterian University college will be formally inaugurated on
Thursday, January 17, 2019, to facilitate the process.
The ongoing Workshop is being participated by all 10 Vice
Chancellors from Traditional Universities, representation from
Technical Universities, Private Universities, Principals of Colleges
of Education, regulatory bodies, the reform Secretariat of Ministry
of Education, University Teachers Association, Tertiary Education
Workers Union and other participants totaling 50.

They are deliberating and making inputs on the Tertiary Education
Policy document which seeks to bring together all relevant existing
documentation, distill relevant government policies, regulatory
policies, and legislative instruments and, policy guidelines
consistent with national development.
After the meeting, the document will be submitted to the
government for further consideration and approval.

Breaking News| RME removed from the basic/JHS syllabi

January 11, 2019 2
Breaking News| RME removed from the basic/JHS syllabi

News phreshnewsgh is gathering this evening is that, Religious and Moral Education,RME has been removed from the basic/jhs syllabi.
This policy was to start this year as it was said in last year. But publishers are pleading with GES to postpone the implementation to 2021 as to allow them sell their old books to pay their loans taken from banks to publish their books and also avoid plagiarism.

According to the book authors, they heard of this implementation last year and they asked GES about it and it assured these publishers that there won't be no syllabi review said by Mr. Nkansah.
The syllabi is to be reviewed every five years but with this current syllabi it has been used for ten years. After 10 years of inaction, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has activated processes to revise the syllabi of basic, junior and
senior high schools this year.
The decision to revise the syllabi is part of the government’s educational reform agenda.
In an interview with the Daily Graphic in Accra yesterday the
Director-General of the GES, Professor Kwasi Opoku
Amankwa, explained that under normal circumstances, “the
curriculum is supposed to be revised every five years, but our
curriculum has gone beyond 10 years without being
reviewed”.
“Again, there are many duplications and irrelevance in the
curriculum and that is one of the key things that the
government has put on its agenda — to reform.

The publishers then want the government to relax because it can't just release a communique and within four months seek to implement it. That is too swift and it does this; authors will copy from others because there will be limited time for us to do research,Mr. Nkansah stated.
